On the morning of April 20, 2023, at the English Hangout Club, H1 Building, Dong Thap University had a meeting to welcome students from Samar State University (Philippines) and Nakhon Sawan Rajabhat University (Thailand) to the university to start a practicum period within the framework of the Student Exchange Program between Dong Thap University and Samar State University and of the SEA-Teacher Student Exchange Program, Batch 9, 2023, held by the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO), in which Dong Thap University is the only university from Vietnam participating the 2023 program.

On behalf of Dong Thap University's Rectoral Board, Mr. Cao Dao Thep, Vice-Rector warmly welcomed the international practicum student-teachers, Phase 1, 2023. He said "Student Exchange Program is very essential to universities to give fantastic opportunities for students to broaden their horizons, gain new cultural experiences and improve their English in a globalized world. It gives opportunities for universities to strengthen their international ties and collaborations with other institutions regionally and globally.” Mr. Thep added, "International practicum periods will help to strengthen friendship and cooperation between students and universities; and empower students to become global citizens in the future."

At the meeting, representatives of students from Samar State University and Nakhon Sawan Rajabhat University expressed their gratitude to Dong Thap University leaders and staff for their thoughtful arrangements and promised to do their best to successfully fulfill their practicum duties as expected.
