At the event, Dong Thap University awarded 40 Nguyen Sinh Sac scholarships (5-8 million VND/each) to disadvantaged students for achieving good academic performance in the academic year 2022 – 2023 with the total of 206 million VND mobilized by the Provincial Study Promotion Association. The university’s Study Promotion Association also awarded 50 scholarships (1 million VND/each) to students who overcome difficulties to study well in the academic year 2022 - 2023, and encouraged them to continue to strive for good scores.

Reportedly, in the academic year 2021 - 2022, pursuant to Decree No. 116/2020. /ND-CP of the Government, the Department of Education and Training of Long An province arranged a portion of its funding with a total amount of over 02 billion VND to sponsor 66 pedagogical students sent to study at Dong Thap University.
