On the 12th of April 2022, Dong Thap University attended the opening session of the virtual cultural exchange with Samar State University, the Philippines.

The leaders of both universities attended the opening program. On the side of Dong Thap University, there were Mr. Cao Dao Thep, Vice Rector; Ms. Nguyen Anh Thu, Head of International Affairs Office. On the side of Samar State University, there were Ms. Marilyn Cardoso, President; Mr. Elmer Abayan Irene, Head of International Affairs Office. The participants are the students from the Faculty of Culture Tourism and Social work, and the Faculty of Economics.

The program takes place from 11/4/2022 to 25/4/2022 with the main contents such as: the students of the two universities introduce an overview of typical cultural features and famous tourist attractions in 2 nations.
The program aims to create opportunities for students of Dong Thap University to practice and improve their English skills. In addition, the program also provides the participating students the opportunity to work with international students and develop comprehensively.

This virtual culture exchange is an effort of both institutions to maintain and enhance the international collaboration in the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, the program will also pave the way for further cooperation activities between Dong Thap University and Samar State University.
