On September 29, as part of a working visit to Dong Thap Province, a delegation from the Ministry of Education and Training, led by Deputy Minister Doan Trung Kien, visited and worked with Dong Thap University. This visit reflected the Ministry of Education and Training’s interest in the University’s ongoing development and activities.
The delegation was welcomed by representatives of the leadership of Dong Thap University and leaders of the University’s affiliated units.
In a cordial and open atmosphere, the University’s leaders met and exchanged views with the delegation, sharing information on Dong Thap University’s education and training activities, scientific research, and current development orientations.
During the visit, the delegation gained further insight into the University’s educational environment, facilities, professional activities, and development journey. The achievements made in recent years reflect Dong Thap University’s continued efforts to innovate its educational activities, build on its strengths in teacher education, and gradually expand its fields of study in response to societal needs.
With more than 50 years of experience in training teachers and educational administrators, Dong Thap University has gradually developed into a multidisciplinary institution, aligning its education and scientific research activities with the human resource needs of the locality and the Mekong Delta region. Building on its strengths in teacher education, the University is currently one of the country’s 14 key higher education institutions for teacher training. At the same time, it places strong emphasis on creating a dynamic and modern learning environment that enables students to develop comprehensively.
Building on its achievements, Dong Thap University continues to strengthen its areas of expertise, enhance the quality of education and training, promote innovation, and advance its multidisciplinary development. Through these efforts, the University is progressively affirming its role and position within the higher education system while responding to the demand for high-quality human resources in the new development period.
