On September 17 and 18, at the Integration Meeting Room, Dong Thap University welcomed and held a working session with a delegation from the International Cooperation Department under the Ministry of Education and Training to comprehensively review and evaluate the University’s international cooperation activities during the 2023–2025 period and identify key priorities for the coming period.
The delegation from the International Cooperation Department, Ministry of Education and Training, was led by Dr. Nguyen Thi Thanh Minh – Deputy Director General, together with other members. Representing Dong Thap University were Dr. Truong Tan Dat – Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector; Dr. Cao Dao Thep – Vice Rector; and leaders of the University’s relevant offices, divisions, and specialized centers.
During the working session, the University presented a summary report on the implementation of international cooperation activities during the 2023–2025 period. Amid the growing international integration of higher education and accelerated digital transformation, the University recorded positive results in several areas, including expanding its network of international partners, receiving international students, developing its staff and lecturers, and attracting international experts.
The delegation reviewed databases on international students and student exchanges; discussed procedures for student admission, academic record management, and assessment of Vietnamese language proficiency upon program completion; and examined documentation and procedures for international experts and lecturers working at the University.
In its concluding remarks and recommendations, the delegation acknowledged Dong Thap University’s efforts and positive achievements in international cooperation and recommended that the University continue to improve relevant procedures.
In response to the delegation’s recommendations, the University leadership affirmed that, in the coming period, Dong Thap University will continue to prioritize international cooperation, proactively engage in international projects, and seek diverse scholarship opportunities, thereby enhancing its reputation and brand and progressively deepening its integration into the regional and global higher education landscape.
