On the afternoon of September 15, Dong Thap University held the Closing Ceremony of the Official Site Visit for the external assessment of 06 undergraduate and master's programs. The site visit was conducted from September 12 to 15, 2026, by the External Evaluation Team in coordination with the Center for Education Accreditation, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (CEA VNU-HCM).
The ceremony was attended by representatives of the CEA VNU-HCM; members of the External Evaluation Team; leaders of Dong Thap University and its units; members of the Self-Evaluation Councils; and lecturers, graduate students, and undergraduate students from the programs under assessment.
The 06 programs under assessment included 02 undergraduate programs – Primary Education and Technology Education – and 04 master's programs – Theoretical and Mathematical Physics, Economic Management, Environmental Science, and Theory and Methodology of Teaching English.
During their time at the University, the External Evaluation Team carried out the assessment activities as planned, focusing on reviewing documents and supporting evidence; conducting on-site observations of facilities and conditions supporting program delivery; and holding working sessions with relevant stakeholder groups of the 06 programs. These activities provided the Team with additional information to cross-check against the self-evaluation reports and gain a clearer understanding of how educational activities are implemented in practice at the University.
At the Closing Session, a representative of the External Evaluation Team presented the preliminary report on the results of the Official Site Visit for the 06 academic programs. The report highlighted the findings recorded during the assessment and provided comments and recommendations for the University to further review and improve its programs and related activities in the coming period.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Truong Tan Dat – Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of Dong Thap University – stated that the findings and recommendations of the External Evaluation Team provide an important basis for the University to further reflect on, review, and improve its educational activities. In the coming period, the University will progressively implement appropriate improvement measures toward enhancing the substantive quality of education and better meeting learners’ needs.
As part of the ceremony, representatives of the CEA VNU-HCM; the Head of the External Evaluation Team; and the Rector of Dong Thap University signed the Minutes of Completion of the Official Site Visit for the external assessment of the 06 academic programs.
Based on the findings, observations, and recommendations of the External Evaluation Team, the University will continue to review and improve its academic programs and implement appropriate quality improvement measures, contributing to greater effectiveness in education and better meeting the evolving needs of learners and society.
