On September 10, Dong Thap University welcomed and held a working session with a delegation from Hanbat National University, South Korea, to discuss potential areas of cooperation in education, scientific research, and faculty and student exchange. On this occasion, the University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with KTOP VN Co., Ltd. to expand opportunities for students to study in South Korea.
The program was attended by Mr. Kim Young Rok – Chief Representative of the Hanbat National University Office in Vietnam; Mr. Lee Sang Don – Representative of the Hanbat National University Office, Southern Branch; and Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh – Director of KTOP VN Co., Ltd. Representing Dong Thap University were Dr. Cao Dao Thep – Vice Rector, along with representatives from the Office of International Affairs and Communications and the Faculty of Social Sciences Education.
Speaking at the program, Dr. Cao Dao Thep – Vice Rector of Dong Thap University – highly appreciated the connecting role of Hanbat National University and KTOP VN in supporting the University in establishing connections with educational institutions in South Korea, thereby expanding study and development opportunities for students.
Under the proposed cooperation, the University seeks to expand partnerships with reputable educational institutions in South Korea; supporting students in accessing study programs and scholarships; developing student and faculty exchange programs; promoting academic and cultural exchanges between Vietnam and South Korea; and strengthening Korean language training and equipping students who plan to study in South Korea with essential skills.
Through cooperation among Dong Thap University, Hanbat National University, and KTOP VN, students will have greater access to academic programs and scholarships, while broadening their opportunities for further study and career development in South Korea. In addition, the parties discussed coordination between Dong Thap University and Hanbat National University in applying for the establishment of a King Sejong Institute (KSI) at Dong Thap University, thereby creating further opportunities to strengthen Korean language education and promote Korean cultural exchange at the University.
For Dong Thap University, the signing of the MoU contributes to expanding its network of partners and strengthening partnerships with international educational institutions and enterprises, while gradually deepening cooperation and creating greater practical value for students.
Through these efforts, the University continues to broaden opportunities for international learning and experiences, enabling students to further their studies, enhance their global engagement, and pursue career development in an international environment.
