On August 6, Dong Thap University held a Signing Conference with Viettel Dong Thap to strengthen strategic cooperation in the field of digital transformation.
The conference aimed to enhance the partnership between the two parties by leveraging their respective strengths and expanding the application of digital technologies in institutional governance, education, and service delivery, thereby improving the effectiveness of digital transformation at Dong Thap University.
Representing Dong Thap University were Dr. Truong Tan Dat, Secretary of the Party Committee and Rector; Dr. Cao Dao Thep, Vice Rector; together with leaders of relevant faculties and administrative units. Representing Viettel Dong Thap were Mr. Hoang Van Hung, Deputy Director of Viettel Dong Thap, and other company representatives.
During the conference, the two parties focused on several key areas of cooperation, including the signing of the 2026 Contract for the provision of e-invoice and e-ticketing solutions; the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on digital transformation cooperation between Dong Thap University and Viettel Dong Thap; and discussions to finalize the content and implementation plan for future collaborative activities.
As part of the program, the two sides held in-depth discussions on upgrading digital infrastructure and cloud storage systems. In particular, in the digital era, Dr. Truong Tan Dat, Secretary of the Party Committee and Rector of Dong Thap University, emphasized that information security and cybersecurity must remain the University's highest priorities.
The University's investment in digital technologies not only demonstrates its strong commitment to enhancing institutional governance but also creates tangible benefits for administrators, faculty members, staff, and students alike.
