Quarter III/2026 Management Staff Coordination Conference

On July 20, Dong Thap University held the Quarter III/2026 Management Staff Coordination Conference.

The conference aimed to review the results achieved during the first six months of the year, discuss key solutions to successfully accomplish the 2026 objectives, and establish action commitments to ensure the University’s rapid and sustainable development.

In attendance at the conference were Dr. Truong Tan Dat – Secretary of the Party Committee and Rector; Meritorious Teacher Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van De – Former Secretary of the Party Committee, former Rector, and Chairman of the Council for Science and Training; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Minh Gian – Former Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, former Vice Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Van Thong – Vice Rector; Dr. Cao Dao Thep – Vice Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Sy Thang – Vice Rector; Dr. Nguyen Quoc Vu – Vice Rector, along with delegates who are management staff of Dong Thap University.
At the conference, Dr. Truong Tan Dat – Secretary of the Party Committee and Rector of Dong Thap University – delivered remarks and provided strategic directions, emphasizing that units must synchronously implement the following key tasks in the coming period:

- Enhancing university governance: through reviewing and updating the development strategy, issuing the Regulations on Organization and Operation, and developing management documents aligned with innovation requirements.

- Accelerating digital transformation: by building a shared data system and improving the effectiveness of management and administration.

- Innovating training activities: focusing on improving program quality, renewing teaching, assessment, and evaluation methods toward increased practice, strengthening enterprise engagement, and developing learners’ digital and foreign language competencies, especially in teacher education programs.

- Comprehensive resource development: investing in facilities, enhancing staff capacity, and strengthening the internal quality assurance system; while expanding international cooperation and attracting projects.

Regarding international cooperation, Dr. Cao Dao Thep – Vice Rector of Dong Thap University – highlighted notable achievements: the University has successfully implemented large-scale internship programs for students in Taiwan, Japan, Singapore, Italy, and other countries. Conversely, the University continuously welcomes international student groups for study and cultural exchange from China, South Korea, the Philippines, Cambodia, and more.

On this occasion, the University honored and commended 09 newly graduated PhD holders who successfully defended their dissertations in the first six months of 2026, and presented congratulatory flowers to members of the University Leadership Board who were recently appointed by the Ministry of Education and Training for the new term.

With the spirit of “Solidarity – Responsibility – Creativity – Effectiveness”, the leadership and management staff of DThU reaffirm their commitment to taking decisive actions to ensure the rapid and sustainable development of Dong Thap University in the journey ahead.
