On the afternoon of March 7, according to information from the Rectoral Board of Dong Thap University, Dr. Truong Tan Dat, Secretary of the Party Committee of the University, will represent Dong Thap University as a candidate for the Dong Thap Provincial People's Council, Term XI, for the 2026–2031 tenure.
According to Resolution No. 43/NQ-UBBC of the Dong Thap Provincial Election Committee, Dr. Truong Tan Dat is one of 142 candidates running for 85 seats in the Dong Thap Provincial People's Council, Term XI, for the 2026–2031 tenure. Based on the allocation, Dr. Dat and other candidates will run in Constituency No. 4, which includes An Long, Tan Long, and Phu Tho communes.
Dr. Truong Tan Dat (45 years old, originally from An Phu Thuan Commune, now Phu Huu Commune, Dong Thap Province) has worked in the education sector for 22 years, including 17 years holding management positions at higher education institutions under Dong Thap University.
In his action program for the election, Dr. Truong Tan Dat expressed his aspiration to contribute to the development of the education and training sector. His priorities include developing high-quality human resources, promoting the application and transfer of science and technology into daily life, and strengthening social welfare and community service activities, thereby contributing to the growth and prosperity of Dong Thap Province.
From March 6 to March 9, Dr. Truong Tan Dat and other candidates running for the Dong Thap Provincial People's Council in Constituency No. 4 will meet with voters in An Long, Phu Tho, and Tan Long to present their action programs.
