Delegates’ Conference of Public Employees and Laborers, Academic Year 2025–2026

On the morning of October 29, at Hall H1, Dong Thap University held the Conference of Delegates for Public Employees and Laborers for the 2025–2026 academic year. The conference was co-chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Van Thong – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the University, and MA. Pham Van Hiep – Chairman of the University Trade Union.

Attending the conference were Dr. Truong Tan Dat – Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the University Council; Meritorious Teacher, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van De – Former Secretary of the Party Committee, Former Rector, and Chairman of the Council for Science and Training; MA., Senior Lecturer Cao Dao Thep – Vice Rector; Dr. Nguyen Quoc Vu – Vice Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Sy Thang – Vice Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Minh Gian – Former Vice Rector and Senior Lecturer of the School of Education; along with nearly 300 delegates representing public employees and laborers from the University’s departments, faculties, and centers.

In his opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Van Thong emphasized that the conference provides an opportunity for public employees and laborers to review achievements of the past academic year, exchange ideas, and propose development solutions. In the context of ongoing innovations in higher education, Dong Thap University continues to prioritize enhancing training quality, advancing scientific research, strengthening digital transformation, and developing a professional, creative, and globally integrated workforce.

The conference agreed on the theme for the 2025–2026 academic year: “Discipline – Constructivism – Breakthrough – Development.” This theme reflects a spirit of action, a desire for innovation, and a comprehensive development orientation in management, training, research, and community service.

Discussions at the conference focused on strengthening internal capacity, improving governance, expanding cooperation, and building a modern and effective academic environment. The directions and solutions approved during the conference form the foundation for implementing tasks in the new academic year, aiming for stable and sustainable development.

At the conclusion of the program, delegates unanimously approved the Resolution of the Conference of Public Employees and Laborers for the 2025–2026 academic year. With a shared spirit of solidarity, responsibility, and determination, Dong Thap University is committed to successfully fulfilling its goals and further affirming its position as a prestigious higher education institution in the Mekong Delta region and across the country.
