From July 5 to 10, Dong Thap University organized the 4th round of the Computer-Based Entrance Assessment Exam (VSAT), attracting 1,670 candidates with nearly 5,000 exam sessions across eight subjects: Mathematics, Literature, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, and English. The exam is designed to enhance admission quality by accurately assessing student competencies and categorizing candidates by subject area.

In 2025, Dong Thap University will conduct a total of four VSAT rounds to provide maximum convenience for applicants seeking admission into majors aligned with their abilities. VSAT results are considered for admission to Dong Thap University and many other higher education institutions that apply this method.

VSAT is administered using a modern information technology platform and a standardized question bank, ensuring fairness, transparency, and accuracy in exam organization and evaluation. Dong Thap University is responsible for administering the exam, providing full infrastructure and equipment for testing  - including candidate registration, exam proctoring, grading, and result announcement.

In 2025, the National Center for Testing and Educational Quality Assessment  will review and update the content of the VSAT to ensure alignment with the 2018 General Education Program and its competency-based evaluation approach. The exam structure will also be adjusted to better meet the increasing demands of higher education institutions.

According to the 2025 admission plan, Dong Thap University is expected to admit 6,063 students across various academic programs through 5 admission methods. Among these, the VSAT-based admission continues to serve as an important, modern, and flexible approach that broadens access to university enrollment opportunities for students nationwide.
