Education & Training Journal (GD&TĐ) – On March 29, the Department of Education and Training of Dong Thap Province held the awards ceremony for the 2024–2025 Provincial Excellent Teacher Contest.
This event honors the dedication and contributions of educators to the educational cause in the “Land of Pink Lotus” (Dong Thap Province).
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Van Thong – Rector of Dong Thap University – together with the Board of Rectors of the Pedagogical School under Dong Thap University, attended the ceremony to congratulate the outstanding teachers.
At the conclusion of the 2024–2025 contest, a total of 221 teachers from across Dong Thap Province were awarded the title of “Excellent Teacher,” and 9 teachers received the honorary title of “Golden Chalk.” Among them were many alumni from the teacher training programs of Dong Thap University.
The success of these alumni in various professional positions reflects the high quality of Dong Thap University’s training programs, which have spanned over 50 years of teacher and educational management training tradition (1975–2025), and more than 22 years of continuous innovation and development (2003–2025), under the training philosophy: “Creativity – Professionalism – Integration.”
Dong Thap University is one of the 14 key higher education institutions for teacher training in Vietnam, offering 3 doctoral programs (Educational Management, Theory and Methodology of Teaching Mathematics, Theoretical and Physical Chemistry), 18 master’s programs, and 50 undergraduate programs. Among these, 19 programs focus on teacher education, covering all subjects aligned with the current national general education curriculum.
