Expanding Cooperation with National Meanchey University and the Department of Education, Youth, and Sports of Banteay Meanchey Province

From November 18-21, 2024, a delegation from National Meanchey University, led by H.E. Chea Soeun, Rector, and the delegation from the Department of Education, Youth, and Sports of Banteay Meanchey Province, headed by Mr. Chan Sopheap, Deputy Director, paid the official visit to Dong Thap University.
Representing Dong Thap University in welcoming the delegations were Dr. Ho Van Thong, Rector; Dr. Nguyen Quoc Vu, Vice Rector; and Mr. Cao Dao Thep, Vice Rector, along with representatives from offices and departments, including the International Affairs Office, Research Affairs Office, Academic Affairs Office, Student Affairs and Communication, Quality Assurance Office, Faculty of Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Environment, and Faculty of Technology and Engineering.
During the official working sessions, Dong Thap University, National Meanchey University, and the Department of Education, Youth, and Sports of Banteay Meanchey Province discussed and agreed upon several areas of cooperation, including: (1) Faculty exchange programs in the fields of agriculture, food processing, agronomy, animal husbandry, and information technology; (2) Student exchange programs in both online and in-person formats; (3) Joint participation in research projects and the publication of academic works; (4) Cultural exchange and community service initiatives; (5) Sharing of research data and laboratory equipment; (6) Organization of academic conferences.
As part of the visit, the delegation attended Dong Thap University’s 2024–2025 Academic Year Opening Ceremony. Additionally, they toured high-tech agricultural models and key historical and tourist attractions in the province, including: The melon farm in Lai Vung District, Dong Thap Aqua Farm in Lap Vo District, Nguyen Sinh Sac Mausoleum Relic Site, and Gao Giong Ecotourism Site.
