October 13-16 – Dong Thap University (DThU) recently conducted a diplomatic visit to the Philippines aimed at strengthening international educational partnerships and creating new opportunities for student exchange and cross-cultural learning.
The delegation, led by Mr. Cao Dao Thep, Vice Rector of DThU, visited Samar State University (SSU), where a Student Exchange Program is being held from October 13-26. This annual program is part of a collaborative agreement between the two universities, designed to enhance students’ learning experiences and practical skills through immersive international engagement.
Representing DThU, the delegation included eight students participating in the exchange program, an invaluable chance to experience the academic and cultural environment abroad. This visit marks a significant step in deepening the partnership between DThU and SSU.
At SSU, the delegation engaged in productive discussions on future cooperation, focusing on signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the 2024-2026 period. Both parties discussed multiple areas of collaboration, including student and faculty exchange, and joint research initiatives, laying a solid foundation for sustainable development at both institutions.
Following their activities at SSU, the delegation traveled to Guimaras State University (GSU), where they visited five DThU students participating in the SEA-Teacher 2024, Batch 10.
During the visit to GSU, meetings were held with university leaders to discuss potential cooperation in areas such as student and faculty exchange, as well as joint training and research activities. Both institutions expressed enthusiasm for the prospect of expanding their partnership in the coming years.
As for Dong Thap University, it is a leading higher education institution recognized for its high-quality training programs and commitment to building a strong international cooperation network.
