CLOSING CEREMONY OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE FELLOW PROGRAM 2022 - 2024

On June 5th, Dong Thap University held a ceremony to summarize the tenure of Ms. Jill Yvonne King, an English expert from the U.S. Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City. The event was attended by Dr. Nguyen Quoc Vu, Vice Rector of the University, Ms. Jill Yvonne King, along with representatives of the university's leadership, lecturers, and relevant staff.
To enhance the quality of English education, Dong Thap University collaborated with the U.S. Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City and the Regional English Language Office of the U.S. Embassy to invite English experts to teach language skills, American culture, and provide teaching methodology training for both major and non-major students at the university. Since November 2022, this program has been successfully carried out with the participation of Ms. Jill Yvonne King, a dedicated English expert.
With her experience and enthusiasm, Ms. Jill Yvonne King has excellently fulfilled her duties at Dong Thap University. She has sown the seeds of passion for learning English, helping students become more confident and dynamic in communicating in English. Under Ms. King’s dedicated guidance, several students have been awarded UGRAD scholarships and successfully participated in the U.S. government’s YSEALI program. Additionally, for her fellow lecturers, Ms. King created a positive learning environment, fostering the exchange of experiences and access to advanced teaching methods.
On behalf of the university’s leadership, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Vu acknowledged and highly appreciated Ms. Jill Yvonne King's contributions over the past period, wishing her health, happiness, and much success in her work. Dong Thap University looks forward to welcoming her back to work in the future.
