Education & Times - The comprehensive cooperation between the university and the newspaper will help publicize the university’s achievements in training and scientific research.

The signing ceremony of cooperation agreement between Dong Thap University and Education & Times newspaper

On the morning of August 7 in Dong Thap province, Dong Thap University and Education & Times newspaper signed a cooperation agreement for the period of 2023 - 2028.
Present at the signing ceremony, there were representatives of the university including Dr. Truong Tan Dat - Secretary of the university’s Party Committee, Chairman of the University Council; Mr. Cao Dao Thep - Vice Rector of Dong Thap University, and other leaders of departments and offices of the university.
Journalists from the newspaper including Ms. Duong Thi Thanh Huong – Deputy Editor-in-Chief; Mr. Nguyen Anh Tu - deputy head of the newsper’s southern office; and other reporters represented the Education &Times newspaper.
Extensively spreading the university’s training activities to the public
At the signing ceremony, Dr. Truong Tan Dat stated that this is a long-term and comprehensive cooperation between the university and the newspaper. During the past years, the university and the newspaper has maintained a close and wonderful cooperation. The university has also identified four key contents in cooperation and will have detailed cooperation plans annually.

Mr. Cao Dao Thep also informed that thanks to the support of Education & Times newspaper, many of the university's activities and events have been spread nationwide. Many readers have come to know about the university as well as the school’s annual enrollment information.
At present, the university has approximately 11,000 students from 31 provinces, of which the majority is from the Mekong Delta region. The university hopes that in the future, the school's activities in training and scientific research will be spread more widely with the cooperation between the two sides.

In her speech at the ceremony, journalist, Deputy Editor-in-Chief Duong Thanh Huong said that the cooperation agreement signing between Education and Times newspaper and Dong Thap University has a mutual special meaning and an important milestone for both sides.
“This cooperation not only shows the mutual trust between us; more importantly, through the comprehensive cooperation between Dong Thap University and Education & Times newspaper, it will help the university spread more extensively its achievements in training activities, scientific research and humanistic policies for learners that the university is pursuing", journalist Duong Thanh Huong emphasized.
Education & Times Newspaper is the sole news agency of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET). During the history of 64 years of establishment and development, the newspaper has always been consistent with its biggest goal, which is to accompany, support, share with educational stakeholders in all regions of the country, and protect their legitimate rights and interests.
In addition to propagating and disseminating the Party’s and the ministry’s guidelines and policies on education to educational stakeholders nationwide, another very important responsibility of the newspaper is to spread good things of the country education.
With such orientations, Education & Times newspaper wishes to further promote communication activities of Dong Thap University through training sessions on communication for the school's staff. It also hopes to support Dong Thap University in educational communication activities to develop more appropriate, effective, and professional strategies for educational communication and enrollment.

According to the major cooperation content, Dong Thap University will provide information for Education & Times newspaper to publish in the newspaper’s various forms of publications. The university will also create appropriate conditions for the newspaper’s reporters to conduct their work at the university, propagating positive information about the university in an honest, objective, and constructive manner. Concurrently, the university will put the link to the newspaper’s website on the school's electronic page. The university will also inform its whole organization of the newspaper’s publications, its electronic page and training programs so that the university staff can be well-informed of education policies.
Education & Times Newspaper will be responsible for informing the public about Dong Thap University's activities and sending reporters to collect information and report on the university’s popular activities. The newspaper will also coordinate with the university in communicating the school’s events, programs, and plans. In addition, the newspaper will also allow the school to use its news, articles, and video clips from Education & Times newspaper to re-publish on the school's website. The newspaper will also support the school to organize training sessions to enhance the school’s communication staff’s abilities to write news and articles.

During the history of over 20 years of establishment and development, oriented as a MOET’s public university with multi-disciplinary and multi-field training policies, Dong Thap University has been steadily asserting its roadmap and its position as the current number of the school’s students is nearly 11,000.
