The delegation of Dong Thap University was led by Mr. Cao Dao Thep, Vice Rector; together with his staff and accompany by Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thuong - Secretary of the CPV Committee of Provincial-level Agencies’ Group.

The meeting between the two institutes had an exchange of fields in education and training. At the same time, it also opens up many new orientations in scientific research, fostering and training lecturers and civil servants to develop the university.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Cao Dao Thep, Vice Rector of Dong Thap University said: Dong Thap University's mission is to train high-quality, multi-disciplinary human resources and provide community services; contribute to socio-economic development for the Mekong Delta in particular and the country in general.
With that mission, the university aims to become a prestigious center for training and scientific research in Vietnam and Southeast Asia.
Champasack University is one of the key universities in the South of Laos. The two universities have many similarities in terms of development scale, form of fostering and training of human resources, many training specialties to meet the expanding and developing social needs.
"Dong Thap University highly agreed on the terms that were signed. The university will be determined to successfully fulfill the wishes that the two units have contracted, especially focusing on preferential policies for teaching staff and students to study at Dong Thap University" - Mr. Thep said.
Dong Thap University presented Champasack University with a Vietnamese bookcase
In addition to sharing expertise, Dong Thap University presented Champasack University with a Vietnamese bookcase with 132 titles covering many fields according to the necessary needs of the university. The bookcase helps the university to keep good, useful and necessary Vietnamese books for the Vietnamese language.
Receiving a letter from Champasack University, Dong Thap Provincial Library actively contributed to the desire to build a richer Vietnamese bookcase. Leaders of the Dong Thap provincial library presented a bookcase of 200 books including many useful titles such as comics, culture, and history of Dong Thap.

Mr. Saly - Vice President of Champasack University acknowledged the close and profound cooperation of Dong Thap University in recent years. In particular, Dong Thap University has taken good care of Lao students and provided good accommodation for them.
Mr. Bounmy Phonesavanh - President of Champasack University highly appreciated the visit and working session of the delegation of Dong Thap University. He expressed his pleasure at the deep concern of leaders and lecturers of Dong Thap University, which created favorable conditions for Champasack University to develop. Highly agree with the conventions that the two universities have established.
In the coming time, he hopes that the relationship between the two universities will become closer and closer in order to help the teaching staff to exchange, learn and share experiences for the training program as well as the development of human resources to meet the increasingly practical needs of society.
The delegation of Dong Thap University also visited and worked with the Department of Education and Sports of Champasack province. Welcoming the delegation were Mr. Buonchan - Deputy Director of Champasack Department of Education and Sports and heads of units under the Department.
The two parties exchanged and discussed deeply and further promoted the implementation of the agreed contents in the memorandum of cooperation between the two parties. Mr. Buonchan wished that Dong Thap University would continue to have policies to support students and graduate students of Champasack province.
