On June 16, Dong Thap University ceremoniously organized a meeting with representatives of press agencies on the occasion of the 98th anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 – June 21, 2023). Several university’s leaders, journalists, and reporters of regional and Dong Thap province’s press and media agencies participated in the event. This was also a meeting to mark the 10-year journey of press and media agencies cooperating with Dong Thap University.

With such an important milestone, the meeting to celebrate the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day, June 21, has been organized annually by Dong Thap University since 2013. During the past 10 years, with the spirit of willingness to learn, connect and share, the university has always proactively cooperated with regional and local press and media agencies. The cooperation is aimed to inform the public of the university’s past academic year, the agenda for the coming year as well as the university’s development strategies in carrying out fundamental and comprehensive changes in education and training.

Celebrating and congratulating journalists and media workers on their traditional day, Dr. Ho Van Thong, Rector of Dong Thap University, wished journalists and reporters good health, happiness, and success. He also thanked them for their cooperation with the university during the past time. On the journey to thrive, Dong Thap University has always received great companionship and care from press and media agencies. This is both an encouragement and a motivation for the whole university to constantly try, innovate, and ensure training quality to meet society’s development needs.

Attending the meeting, many journalists and reporters, including those who are alumni of the university, shared their thoughts about Dong Thap University's activities in general as well as their own feelings and emotions taking part in the meaningful meeting.

On this occasion, representatives of many press agencies, reporters, and journalists expressed their joy witnessing Dong Thap University’s attempts and achievements. They also contributed many ideas in helping the university to uphold the tradition and make breakthroughs, especially in training, to raise the university's position in the new period.
