On June 13, Dong Thap University commended and rewarded students who won Gold Medals at the Southeast Asian Games - SEA Games 2023.

At the same time, the school rewards students who have won the Karate and Judo championships in Southeast Asia and regional and national sports tournaments.
According to the school's leaders, the commendation ceremony is the spiritual encouragement for students to gain high achievements at regional and national sports competitions; Raise awareness of the importance of physical education and launch regular exercise and sports movements for students; Create conditions for students to promote their strengths and professional abilities to develop themselves and contribute to the overall achievements of the school.

Leaders of Dong Thap University give awards to students

The students have excellently obtained proud achievements: student Le Huynh Tuong Vi, class 22A Physical Education, won a gold medal in Judo competition (3 men - 3 women team); Student Bui Thi Thao Ngan, class 21B Physical Education, won a gold medal in Vovinam (the women's 65kg fighting). Student Pham Minh Nhut, class 21A University of Physical, won the bronze medal in the individual Kumite (84kg) at the Southeast Asian Karate Championships.

In addition, at regional and national sports competitions in 2022, students of Dong Thap University won 5 gold medals and 2 bronze medals.
Dr. Ho Van Thong, Rector of Dong Thap University congratulated and encouraged the students. They have undergone rigorous training along with constant efforts in competitions, promoting their strengths and professional abilities to develop themselves.
Dr. Ho Van Thong emphasized: Dong Thap University appreciates and recognizes the efforts in training and competition of athletes, bringing glory to Vietnamese sports and become one of the pride of Dong Thap University. 
In terms of rewards, athletes who won the Gold Medal at the Southeast Asian Games - SEA Games 2023 will be rewarded with VND 15 million; Regional and national sports prizes are awarded from 2 to 5 million VND/person...).
