In accordance with the official document No. 3556/BTNMT-TTTT dated May 19, 2023, issued by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, regarding the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) campaign themed "Solutions to Plastic Pollution, "the Faculty of Agriculture and Environmental Resources has actively participated in the "Beat Plastic Pollution" campaign. The main objective of these activities is to raise awareness among the youth and members of the community, showcasing the role of "Agriculture and Environmental Resources Youth" in environmental protection and climate change adaptation. The initiatives are carried out under the guidance of the Faculty's leadership.
As part of the series of activities to mark World Environment Day 2023, the first phase includes the following endeavors:

1. Collaborative Efforts with Cao Lanh Youth Union: Ten youth members were selected to participate in the "Summer Volunteer Youth Campaign 2023" on June 3, 2023, at My Tho commune, in celebration of World Environment Day on June 5. Following the kick-off event, these young volunteers engaged in various activities, including enlightening the public on environmental hygiene, planting green trees along the Nga Bat – Kiem Dien route (spanning 4.5 km), laying gravel on rural roads, providing guidance to residents on electronic identification and Dong Thap health software installation, and visiting policy beneficiary families.

2. Joint Campaign with Ward 11, Cao Lanh City: On June 5, 2023, the faculty's delegation consisting of 15 members collaborated with Ward 11 Youth Union in Cao Lanh City to embark on the Summer Volunteer Youth Campaign, in response to both World Environment Day (June 5) and World Oceans Day (June 8). The volunteers carried out tree-cutting and environmental sanitation activities around the market in Ward 11. Additionally, they released 300 fish fry into the Kinh Moi canal and established a youth nursery, cultivating more than 200 pots of sunflowers, mountain daisies, and other colorful plants.
3. Volunteering and Environmental Protection in An Binh Commune: On June 5, 2023, a group of 10 volunteer students from our faculty actively participated in activities involving garbage collection, environmental sanitation improvement, and tree planting along residential areas in An Binh commune, Cao Lanh District, Dong Thap Province.

These activities demonstrate the proactive and voluntary role of the faculty's youth, who are students actively contributing to socio-economic development, rural construction, and environmental protection. Through these voluntary endeavors, students from the Faculty of Agriculture and Environmental Resources have gained invaluable soft skills and creative experiences, particularly in educational and awareness campaigns for environmental conservation.
