A delegation from Ho Chi Minh University of Banking and Griffith University (Australia) visited Dong Thap University on October 28, 2022.
Attending the event were Dr. Rakesh Gupta, Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Finance at Griffith University, head of the delegation; Mr. Nguyen An Binh, Director of Admissions and International Cooperation—International School of Business—Ho Chi Minh University of Banking; and students from Griffith University and Ho Chi Minh University of Banking.
On the side of Dong Thap University, there were Mr. Le Phuoc Vinh, Secretary of the Youth Union; Mr. Tran Hoang Phong, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Culture, Tourism and Social Work; Ms. Phan Thuy Trang, Deputy Head of the English Pedagogy Department, Faculty of Foreign Languages; Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, Specialist of International Affairs Office; and nearly 200 students from Dong Thap University.
Delivering his speech at the event, Mr. Le Phuoc Vinh shared, " In a few months, Dong Thap University will celebrate its 20th anniversary (January 10, 2003–January 10, 2023). We have been working hard to achieve global integration. Therefore, we are grateful for the chance to interact, exchange ideas, and work with other colleges, universities, and organizations. The chance to host overseas students is something we greatly value. This is an opportunity for students to learn from one another and is also a great chance for DThU students to practice their English, which will help to advance global collaboration. The event today will hopefully strengthen the bonds between the three schools, resulting in closer linkages for future international collaboration activities. I strongly hope that the students from the three universities will confidently mingle, share knowledge and cultures, and, most importantly, develop close friendships".
On behalf of Griffith University, Dr. Rakesh Gupta shared, "I feel honored to thank you on behalf of Griffith University and these wonderful students for your warm welcome to Dong Thap University. A young university that prides itself on learning and teaching pedagogy. This is a unique opportunity for our students to experience and learn from a wonderful group of teachers, mentors, and students. "
The event ended with an exciting tour around the university and the students of the three schools eagerly participating in some outdoor activities together, thereby creating happy memories and forging strong friendships.
