International Cooperation Activities welcomes the 15th Anniversary of Dong Thap University’s Establishment (2003 - 2018) (From January 6 to January 13, 2018)

On the occasion of the 15th Anniversary of Dong Thap University’s Establishment (January 10, 2003 – January 10, 2018), DThU was honored to welcome foreign partners to join this special events as well as exchange cooperation information.
On the morning of January 6, 2018, the delegation of Australian universities led by Vice Dean of Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Australian National University - Mrs. Johann Rendle-Short, Lecturer of Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology -
Mrs. Chantal Crozet, Director of International Learning and Teaching Centre, University of Canberra - Mrs. Kim Blackmore and some lecturers from An Giang University visited and worked with the Faculty of Foreign Languages. Through this visit, the two sides discussed the detailed contents of the online study program called "Intercultural Communication" between Australian universities’ students and Dong Thap University’s students.

In the afternoon of January 9, 2018, the representative of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Ho Chi Minh City – Education Attaché, Ms. Ou Chi Hsi hosted the Test of Chinese as a foreign language (TOCFL) – the 2nd examination course at DThU with 50 participants. This test is considered one of the basic requirements for students to apply Taiwanese visa applications.

In the afternoon of the same day, Ms. Ou Chi Hsi also attended the working session with the delegation from National Kaohsiung University of Applied Sciences (KUAS) led by Dean of Faculty of Business Administration, Prof. Yu Min Chun visited and worked at DThU. Warmly welcoming the delegation was Dr. Luong Thanh Tan, Vice-rector of DThU, together with the representatives from departments. At the meeting, Dr. Luong Thanh Tan also thanked KUAS for facilitating DThU’s students to improve their Chinese language as well as discover the similarities and differences between Vietnamese and Taiwanese Culture during their study time in Taiwan from September 27, 2017 to December 27, 2012. Professor Yu Min Chun also expressed his satisfaction towards the study attitudes of the students. Also at this meeting, the two sides also signed the two plus two training program in Business Administration. At the end of the session, Dr. Luong Thanh Tan highly appreciated the connection between the two universities and believed that this connection would make a great contribution in training a large number of high quality human resources for the Mekong Delta region.

In the afternoon of the same day, DThU welcomed Vice-Dean of Internationalization and Accreditation - Mrs. Daniela Vrabcová and Director of the Institute of Primary Education - Dr. Pavel Zikl from Hradec Kralove University, Czech Republic. Both sides exchanged cooperation information and shared experiences in implementing the student exchange in the recent years. During the working session, Dean of Preschool and Primary Education Faculty - Mr. Duong Huy Can had other cooperation proposals related to lecturers exchange, scientific research, international workshop, extracurricular activities for students..... The representatives of Hradec Kralove University also expressed their agreement on these new proposals and promised to find the fund support for the cooperation between the two universities.
