On September 18th, 2015, the delegation of professors and students from Miyagi University (MYU), Japan led by Professor Timothy John Phelan – Executive Director of Center for International Exchange and Overseas Students paid a working visit to Dong Thap University.

Warmly welcoming the delegation at DThU’s side was Prof. Assoc. Dr. Nguyen Van De, Rector of DThU together with other staff and students.

This is the second time the delegation of MYU has come to DThU since March of this year. By this visit, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two universities was signed through a get-together program which was taken place in a cozy, friendly and exciting atmosphere with many beautiful and interesting performances by the students of both DThU and MYU.

Speaking at the get-together, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Nguyen Van De expressed his thank-you to the delegation for their visit. He stated that such get-togethers are wonderful opportunities for the students to learn from each other’s culture and for the two universities to have closer relationship. He hopes that all the points stated in the MOU will be promoted soon.
